Healing Scriptures
More than 30 years ago, Dodie Osteen was diagnosed with liver cancer and was told she only had weeks to live. She went to the word of God (the Bible) and began to go over many of the passages that you are about to read. She did this faithfully every day. She said it was her medicine. She did not go outside or do anything else that day until she had first taken her medicine. And she did this daily, for months, and even after she was healed completely, she continued doing it. Thirty years later, she is still doing it today. She did not die, but she lived, in accordance with the word of God:
“I will not die, but live, and declare Yah’s works.” (Psalm 118:17)
You can find Dodie Osteen on YouTube and I encourage you to do so. Her story will truly inspire you.
The verses you are about to read talk about the power and greatness of God. They will challenge you. In my case, I also had a big trial one day (it was a spiritual trial, I was attacked on a spiritual level by unseen forces). I remember opening up these verses and reading them. After 30 minutes, God brought a great victory. I was delivered from these unseen spiritual forces as I patiently read through each of these Scriptures. They are really powerful.
Yes, I cried as I read through many of them, because these unseen spiritual forces were lying to me. But when I read the verses, they opposed the lies. And then God spoke to me right in my spirit and said something like this,
“The lies are wrong but my word is true!”
Yes, I wept. What an incredible difference 30 minutes in these Scriptures can make, especially when you are under attack by unseen spiritual forces. It happens to all of us, sometimes, but many people do not realize it. They just think they are having a “bad day.” Actually, there are powers all around us, wanting to bring us down and discourage us. That is why these verses are so incredibly important.
Take time to go over each verse, slowly, one at a time. Ask yourself, “How does this verse apply to my situation? Do I believe it?” I encourage you to choose to believe the good about that verse, because I believe that’s exactly what God wants us to do. Some of these verses are about God’s goodness. Others may challenge you to “get right with God” in a certain area. Some of them will cut through a lot of lies that you may have been believing, that have been hindering you in certain areas. You may find, and probably will find, that you are very refreshed after reading these. However, don’t rush it. I would spend 30 minutes a day reading these, especially in your time of need. Get alone. Talk to God as you read through each one. Make them personal.
Again, at least several other times, I sat down and I read these Scripture passages through completely, and I wept even as I read them, because I could feel God’s presence ministering to me. They are truly powerful. They are amazing. Dodie Osteen did not get healed immediately. She had to press in, every day. Your problem may take weeks or months of pressing in. God could also heal you in a day or in a minute. I don’t know what God is doing in your life. Only you and God do. But whatever he is doing, he wants to build your faith. Life is not always easy, but these verses are powerful, and will definitely strengthen you in your faith.
God wants us to ask him for things, and that includes healing. There is nothing wrong with this and God performed many healings in the Bible. Also, God has not changed today. He is the same God as he always has been.
By the way, sometimes when God speaks, it can feel rather painful. I’m not talking about the pain of disease (that is very painful). I am talking about the pain that may be impressed upon your mind as you read any of the following verses. If you feel convicted in your spirit, or if in any way you feel uncomfortable with any of these verses, don’t panic. Talk to God personally about what you are feeling and ask him why am I feeling this way? Or, if any verses does not minister to you, then move on to the next verse.
Reading these verses will give you an opportunity to converse with God about all these things. And as you talk them over with the Lord, allow God to minister to you through them.
Here then are the verses.
Healing Scriptures
If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you. (Exodus 15:26)
