The Judgment of God on Fake Miracle Workers, Part 3

Here, then, is the dream. For simplicity, I’ve broken it down into 11 parts. I’ve assigned a heading to each part, after which I describe what was in the dream, along with commentary.

1. We are in a church environment.

We were a group of people ...

- myself;

- two people who seemed to have Down’s Syndrome, or perhaps some other disability, they needed help and assistance and did not feel safe or secure without others helping them;

- my two daughters;

- my wife;

- my father was not in the house, he was in another house that was not too far away, yet the house we were in was also my father’s house (he owned it).

We are in a church environment, meaning we are in an environment where Christians are gathered together. The people who are gathered together represent believers in Christ rather than my physical family for a couple of reasons. First, my father died in the year 2000 and his house was sold at that time. So this could not represent my father’s literal house. Second, even though my wife and two daughters are present in the dream, there are others, in the house, as well, who are not part of our physical family. Because of this, we know that this house is being provided as a symbol. It is not about my father’s literal house, but about the house of my heavenly father.

The Bible says the church is the house or household of God (see 1 Timothy 3:15). God is pointing out a group of believers on the earth in this dream. The word “church” simply means “assembly” (of believers).

There is a clear distinction between the two types of people represented, in that one is “more knowledgeable” and “more abled,” while the other is “less knowledgeable” and “less abled.” The Lord is using this analogy to separate out for us those who are in leadership versus those who are not, and it will become evident why as we move through this dream. The fact that my father is not in the house is also very significant.

2. Strange fire is in the church, and the situation is out of control.

Please note that the word “church” means “assembly” of believers.

I myself was frantic because the house was burning and it had caught fire all over the place (yet these fires were small and were not engulfing). Everything was on fire that should not have been on fire meaning the fire was not in the fireplace, where it should have been! The situation was beyond repairable. We did not have any water to put out the fire.

I do not mean to confuse anyone, but at the very beginning, these “balls of fire” did not seem to be consuming anything. They were present. They were not where they were supposed to be. And the situation was very dangerous. Yet the house was not consumed (at all). Yet the fire was present. It was present as something like “balls of fire” (maybe three feet each in diameter, just resting there).

In this scene, we have a “snapshot” of a congregation in which “strange fires” have broken out all over the place. The strange fires are not engulfing, even as the “strange fire” that Nadab and Abihu offered in Leviticus 10 was not engulfing, so no one is worried about them (for more information, see The Judgment of God on Fake Miracle Workers, Part 1).

These fires were like “balls of fire,” that seem to fit the description almost exactly of what you would expect Nadab and Abihu’s “strange fire” to look like. They did not consume anything. Yet this was clearly a very dangerous situation. I remember these fires were just “resting” there, like a fire that had a gas source, but you could not see the gas source.

These “strange fires” constitute something that has got God’s attention “in not a good way,” even as the “strange fire” in the case of Nadab and Abihu caught God’s attention in “not a good way.” What could they represent? They are something that are very egregious (meaning, conspicuously bad or offensive) to the Lord. What could be more offensive than bearing false witness of God himself through false works? These false works could include false miracles and bearing false witness of God in other ways. On a generic level, Jesus simply calls these workers, “false prophets” (see Matthew 7:15). They say and do things that are lies. They are not simply people who make mistakes. Rather, they set out to intentionally deceive their audience.

In the dream, it is shown to me that there is no water with which to put out these strange fires. Why would that be? The first thing that comes to mind is that a strange fire will never be put out by a co-conspirator. It would require someone who is filled with the Holy Spirit to be present, and to condemn the activity, in order for the fire to actually be put out. This tells me that there is no one in this place in a position of authority, who is actually filled with the Holy Spirit, who is ready to condemn these actions. The “water” is the “living water” which Jesus talked about in John 7, which represents the Holy Spirit. For Jesus said,

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink! He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.” (See John 7:37-38)

And the Bible tells us that by this, he meant the Holy Spirit (see John 7:39). In yet another passage, Acts 5:32, the Bible says that God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey him. There is no water in this place, meaning at worst, God has not given his Holy Spirit to these people, suggesting they are not even saved. At best, they are in radical disobedience, to the point of being worthy of death, even as God put to death Ananias and Sapphira. This must be true, since later on, there is clear imagery present that tells us that a capital offense has been committed. For this reason, the situation is beyond repairable.

3. The people have ignored the warnings. Their deception is going to destroy them.

Many many times I tried telling my family but they were not listening, thinking it was not burning, and they acted as though it was not burning and that everything was fine when, in fact, the situation was completely out of control and the house was burning to the ground.

Since this dream contains symbolism, I am not the only person who is represented by the man giving the warnings. In the dream, I am giving the warnings, but I am representative of many others, who have already sounded the alarm bells. Therefore, “many many times” includes the many many times that God has spoken through others, in the months, and years, that have gone by.

When it says, “they were not listening, thinking it was not burning,” this is evidence that there is deception. If you see a fire, can anyone deny it? But if you see a strange fire and think that “this is of God,” then you will deny that anything is wrong. You will carry on as though everything is perfectly normal.

When it says, “the situation was completely out of control,” it means that “the people have been utterly carried away by this deception.”

When it says, “the house was burning to the ground,” it means that on account of the strange fires, this place is under judgment and unless proper corrective action is taken, will be totally destroyed.

4. The lines of communication are cut between God and these people.

I summoned my daughter to call the fire department, but we were not able to properly get through.

In the same way that a person would call the fire department for help, God tells us in his word,

“Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” (Psalm 50:15)

Yet it says we were not able to properly get through.

My daughter represents those who are in leadership. It is the job of leadership to solve the problems with the strange fires. Yet my daughter was not able to properly get through. This indicates God is not hearing the prayers of the leaders.

We know from the Bible that God is patient. But evidently, God’s patience has run out. The Bible says,

“Behold, Yahweh’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; nor his ear dull, that it can’t hear. But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:1-2)

In another passage, God says,

“Because I have called, and you have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one has paid attention; but you have ignored all my counsel, and wanted none of my reproof; I also will laugh at your disaster. I will mock when calamity overtakes you, when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when your disaster comes on like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come on you. Then they will call on me, but I will not answer. They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me, because they hated knowledge, and didn’t choose the fear of Yahweh. They wanted none of my counsel. They despised all my reproof. Therefore they will eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own schemes.” (Proverbs 1:24-31)

5. The people are not serious, are deceived, and refuse to listen to urgent warnings (therefore, they are in perilous danger).

At one point, a frivolous conversation ensues between my daughter or someone in the house, and another person (seemingly a woman) who was on the other end of the phone. I was saying that the house was burning to the ground, and the person on the other end of the phone (somehow, I knew their reaction, even though I was not on the phone with them) was surprised that I was alarmed, as though to say, “What is the urgency?”

Why was there no sense of urgency in her voice when she was on the phone with that woman? They seemed to be just having a conversation (like you would talk to someone about the weather, or your shoes, or the dog, or what you ate for dinner) and not worried about the fire at all! They were stone deaf to my cry and would not hear me! Why were they not listening?

The fact that they are “stone deaf” reminds us of the warning given in the Bible:

“For this people’s heart has grown callous. Their ears are dull of hearing. Their eyes they have closed. Lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, then I would heal them.” (Acts 28:27)

The conversation was worldly, indicating worldly pursuits. There is nothing wrong about talking about the weather or even shoes at appropriate times. Yet even in the midst of this dire circumstance, when the building was burning to the ground, there was no desire to do the right thing.

6. God is genuinely concerned.

I wanted to make sure everyone was out of that house. I did a mental head count. Who was in that house? There was myself, my two daughters, my wife, and the two handicapped people.

This part of the dream demonstrates God’s concern for his children. He is truly a father who cares about us. In the parable of the lost sheep, the shepherd had 100 sheep. He counted them and found only 99, indicating one had gone astray. The mental head count in this dream is symbolic of God thinking about each of his children. He does not want even one of them to be lost.

In the same way, I wanted to make sure everyone was out of that house, because I knew it was burning to the ground. This is a demonstration of God’s concern for those trapped inside this burning building.

7. God has abandoned this congregation.

At the very end of the dream, I asked one of my daughters or another person, “Where is my dad (that is, father)?” The response was, “He’s next door at the other house.”

At an organizational level, God is not in this place. He’s “next door.” Why is he next door? Why is he not in this house? God will not stay in a place that is condemned, but will abandon it. We see this, for example, with the temple in Jerusalem. Due to sin, the Spirit of God left the temple (see Ezekiel 10:1-22). He abandoned it. After that, it was destroyed by fire. This is very similar imagery to what we see in this dream.

The fact that he is next door means God is calling his people out of this place. He is calling them to leave. He is telling them that if they want to experience his goodness, and the generous spiritual blessings that he desires to lavish on all his children, they are going to need to leave this place.

Leaving this place is also critical, because it is slated for destruction. God wants all of his children out of this place before the consuming fire falls. Prior to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, God called the righteous out. He commanded them to leave. One of the angels said to Lot and his family,

“Escape for your life! Don’t look behind you, and don’t stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be consumed!” (See Genesis 19:17)

8. The delusion of this congregation is at an all time high.

There was no danger as far as my father was concerned. He was safe, but we were not safe at all. Furthermore, the house that we were in that belonged to him was burning to the ground!

It had taken more than 20 years to build this house, and now, it was coming down in just one hour! Even as the fire was raging, everyone acted as though everything was normal.

We now see the fullness of the condemnation that is upon this place. This place is coming down, and it will not be saved. My father, representing my heavenly father, is clearly out of the house. Was he ever in the house to begin with? It is not stated. But at this point, his wrath is hotly kindled against this place. The fact that everyone is still acting as though everything is normal even as the fire is raging means that deception is at an “all time high.”

In this part of the dream, we are also told that this house had taken more than 20 years to build. Thus, it was well-established. However, it was coming down in just one hour. The words “one hour” in the context of judgment appear three times in the book of Revelation, in association with “that great city Babylon” (see Revelation 18:10). God reserves this expression, “one hour,” for the most corrupt of institutions. It does not refer to the literal time it takes to bring her down, but rather the severity of her judgment.

“Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.” (See Revelation 18:10)

“For in one hour so great riches is come to nought.” (See Revelation 18:17)

“For in one hour is she made desolate.” (See Revelation 18:19)

There is no other institution except for “that great city Babylon” in the Bible in which God uses this expression, “one hour” to refer to her destruction. She is the most corrupt, the most evil, of institutions.

9. Help those who are confused, and get them out of there, before judgment hits.

I told one of those who had Down’s Syndrome to go down the hill, and wait with the two girls who were already there. This person just wandered and would not leave the house. I had to physically grab the person, and hold them, like you would hold a child in your arms, lifting up that person to your bosom, and helping them escape the burning house. I don’t even know if it was a man or a woman.

From the previous discussion (see The Judgment of God on Fake Miracle Workers, Part 1), we know who the people with Down’s syndrome represent. They represent the “less abled” or “less knowledgable.” This scene focuses on the rescue of these less abled or less knowledgeable people. All souls are valuable to God. Even the leaders are valuable to God. And he has warned them. They are knowledgeable enough to make their own decision. However, the less abled, and less knowledgeable, representing those who are not in leadership, have much greater need of assistance.

Notice how my two daughters have already escaped this place. They represent leaders. Somehow, the warnings are getting through, and some of the more abled people are leaving. Therefore, some leaders are leaving this place.

Why the leaders who have already escaped this place have not had a real influence on the less knowledgeable is unknown. But for whatever reason, those among the leaders who have escaped have not been able to full persuade the less knowledgeable to leave. This must be because there are still leaders who are remaining in this place who are having a negative influence on them.

The person with the Down’s Syndrome just wandered and would not leave the house. The imagery of wandering indicates the person is lost in their decision-making. Therefore, they are vacillating. They are considering the pros and cons of leaving or staying. They are still not aware that this place is going to be completely destroyed.

God says in his word,

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (See Hosea 4:6)

Therefore, holding this person up to my bosom represents imparting knowledge. They must learn of someone who is not ensnared by this place. Truth has been suppressed in this place, and that is why the wrath of God is coming. The Bible says,

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.” (Romans 1:18)

Therefore, this is why the wrath of God is coming. Curiously, when I held the man to my bosom, his legs were tightly wrapped around my waist. The waist is the area where truth is represented in the Bible.

The Bible says,

“Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist.” (See Ephesians 6:14.)

This person is not shown as standing, because there is no truth to stand on in this place. If this person had to rely upon the words being spoken from this place, the same person would not have a leg to stand on. Therefore, this person is shown as having their legs wrapped tightly around my waist.

This person needs truth to help them escape the burning building. But escaping the burning building is not simply a matter of getting out of the institution. It’s also a matter of getting the institution out of the person. Therefore, this person will need to be properly discipled. The place that this happens is pictured as being “next door at the other house” (see point number 7).

10. The time to exit is now!

I noticed that something like small rocks then fell from virtually right above me (just missing me). Then, I knew I had to get out of that house quickly!

The “small rocks” are strategically placed in the dream to confirm that the fire is not accidental, or due, for example, to persecution. It is not misfortune that has come upon this place. Rather, it is judgment.

In the Old Testament, stoning was God’s method of putting individuals to death who were guilty of committing capital offenses (see Deuteronomy 17:2-5). These rocks fell from above. Thus, the judgment comes from above, from God himself. In view of these small rocks falling, “The time to exit is now!”

11. Complete destruction will occur.

In front of me, I could see the fire raging (now it fully filled my vision), and I could see the structure breaking apart. The absolute rage of the fire was before my eyes. The flames were blazing in front of me so that my entire vision could only see flames as well as the (wooden) structure of the building that was now starting to break apart (the wooden structure was entirely engulfed). There was a support post that was now tilted, and by this I knew that the building was ready to collapse.

This is the last thing that I see in this dream. As I’m watching this, I’m actually backing out of there carrying the man with the Down’s Syndrome. I’m right at the door, meaning just outside the door. This reminds me of the passage in the Bible where James writes,

“Don’t grumble, brothers, against one another, so that you won’t be judged. Behold, the judge stands at the door.” (James 5:9)

If God will judge us for grumbling, then how much more will he judge the one who lights a strange fire and practices deception in the midst. The strange fire represents deception, and a mischaracterization of God himself. The Bible says,

“For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries. A man who disregards Moses’ law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment do you think he will be judged worthy of who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “Vengeance belongs to me. I will repay,” says the Lord. Again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:26-31)

There are hardly any words to describe how urgent this situation was. I still remember the flames everywhere, and being in the midst of this burning house. At the start, everything seemed to be still in place, where you would expect it to be, yet the fires were ignited or “breaking out” all around me (in various places, but not in the fireplace). Then, at the end of the dream, it was a blazing inferno that you had to leave quickly, before it destroyed you.
